Terms of Use
01Who we are
whydot.co is operated by WHYDOTCO LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of Texas, United States, file number 805527619, with its registered office at 4324 Mapleshade Ln., Ste. 260, Plano, Texas 75093. For clients in Chile, services are provided by Dotco Limitada, a company organized under the laws of Chile, RUT 76.711.485-0, domiciled in the municipality of Vallenar, Atacama Region. In these terms, Whydotco, we and us refer to both.
02What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of this website. They do not govern the services we provide. Every engagement is governed by the written agreements signed with the corresponding company, such as the master services agreement, the confidentiality agreement, the data protection addendum and each statement of work. If those agreements and these terms ever differ, the agreements prevail.
03Using the site
You may browse the site and share its pages. You agree not to use it in a way that breaks the law, interferes with its operation or security, or tries to reach parts of it that are not public.
04Content and trademarks
The text, design, code and graphics of this site, the Whydotco name and logo belong to WHYDOTCO LLC. You may not reuse them without our written permission. The names and logos of our clients belong to their owners. We show them to present the work we have done together. If a client would rather not appear, we take it down.
05Information on the site
What the site says about our work and services is general information. It is not an offer, a quote or professional advice, and it may change. The prices on the site are a reference, and the terms and price of any work are the ones written in its signed agreements.
06Links to other sites
The site links to services we do not control, such as LinkedIn and Google. Their own terms and policies apply when you visit them.
07Liability
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using it.
08Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
09Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States. If you are in Chile, Chilean law applies wherever it protects you and cannot be waived, including Law 19.496 on consumer protection.
Privacy Policy
01Who is responsible
WHYDOTCO LLC is responsible for the information collected through this site. When you are, or become, a client in Chile, Dotco Limitada is responsible for the information related to your engagement. You can reach both at dev@team.whydot.co.
02What we collect
When you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you tell us in your message.
If you accept measurement, Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel set cookies to measure visits and how our campaigns perform. They only load after you accept them in the notice, and if you decline, or do not answer, they do not load at all.
Your browser keeps your answer to that notice, the theme you choose and whether you already saw the opening animation. That stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Our hosting provider records standard technical data, such as IP address, browser and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. The site has no forms and no accounts, and we do not buy information about you from anyone.
03How we use it
We use it to answer you, understand your problem and prepare a proposal, to manage the work if you become a client, to measure the site and our campaigns if you accepted, and to keep the site secure.
04On what basis
We use measurement cookies because you consent to them, and you can withdraw that consent. We use what you send us because you asked us to answer, and to take the steps before and during an agreement with you.
05Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the providers that make the site and our work possible. Google hosts our email. If you accepted measurement, Google and Meta measure visits. We sign agreements with clients through DocuSeal. Our hosting provider keeps the site online. We may also disclose your information when the law requires it.
06Where it is stored
Our providers may store information in the United States and in other countries. When information about people in Chile leaves the country, we use providers that protect it at a level consistent with Chilean law.
07How long we keep it
We keep messages and client information while we work together and for as long as the law requires afterward, and then we delete it. Google Analytics keeps measurement data for 14 months. Meta keeps it under its own policies.
08Your rights
You can ask to see the information we have about you, correct it, delete it or stop us from using it. You can withdraw your consent to measurement at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the notice back. In Chile you have these rights under Law 19.628 on the protection of private life.
Write to dev@team.whydot.co and we will answer within 7 business days.
09Security
The site is served over HTTPS, it only runs code from its own domain, and third-party measurement only loads with your consent. No system is completely secure, so if we learn of an incident that affects your information, we will tell you.
10Children
This site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
11Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its date.
